Nigeria @ 64: Obidigwe Calls for Resilience, Optimism Amid Challenges

As Nigeria marks its 64th Independence Day, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, a former federal lawmaker representing Anambra East and West, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast and resilient, expressing optimism for a brighter future despite current challenges.

In his Independence Day message, Obidigwe acknowledged the difficult state of the nation, citing high inflation, rising living costs, insecurity, poverty, and youth unemployment. However, he expressed confidence that with effective leadership, Nigeria could achieve significant progress and reach greater heights.

He urged the federal government to intensify efforts to steer the country toward economic recovery and prosperity. Obidigwe also praised Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s leadership in Anambra State, highlighting the governor’s contributions to the state’s economic growth and development. He encouraged the people of Anambra to continue supporting the Soludo administration.

Obidigwe pointed to Soludo’s innovative programs, including the “One Youth, Two Skills” initiative, free education, and healthcare services, as models that the federal government could adopt to improve the nation’s fortunes.

He further commended the people of Anambra for their overwhelming support of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the recent local government elections, which saw the party secure victories in all 21 local government areas of the state.
