The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched the Force Insurance Company, a landmark initiative aimed at enhancing the welfare of its personnel. The unveiling ceremony, held at the Goodluck Ebele Jonathan Peacekeeping Hall in Abuja, was led by the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.
The insurance scheme offers comprehensive coverage, including health and life insurance, tailored to the needs of police officers and their families. Speaking at the event, Dr. Egbetokun reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare and morale of police personnel.
The launch was attended by notable figures such as Senator Abdulhamid Mallam-Madori, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs, and retired DIG Hashimu Argungu, Chairman of the Police Service Commission.
In a separate event at the same venue, the IGP decorated 27 newly promoted senior officers, including 10 Assistant Inspector-Generals of Police (AIGs) and 17 Commissioners of Police. He urged them to use their elevated ranks to enhance national security and uphold the rule of law.
These milestones underscore the NPF’s commitment to fostering the well-being of its personnel while ensuring the safety of citizens.
