The Nigeria Police Force has summoned Comrade Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), for questioning regarding serious allegations including criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, treasonable felony, subversion, and cybercrime.
In a letter dated August 19, 2024, Assistant Commissioner of Police Adamu Mu’azu, on behalf of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), invited Ajaero to report to their office on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The letter requests Ajaero’s presence at the IRT Complex in Abuja and warns that failure to attend could result in arrest.
Ajaero is expected to cooperate with the investigation, which pertains to his alleged involvement in these criminal activities.
