The Recording Academy has revealed the nominees for the 67th Grammy Awards, with Nigerian artists sweeping the Best African Music Performance category. The category, which highlights African excellence in music, includes entries from Yemi Alade, Asake featuring Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Tems. American artist Chris Brown, the only non-Nigerian nominee in the category, also made the list with “Sensational,” a collaboration featuring Nigerian stars Davido and Lojay.
The nominees for the Best African Music Performance category include:
– *Tomorrow* by Yemi Alade
– *MMS* by Asake featuring Wizkid
– *Sensational* by Chris Brown featuring Davido and Lojay
– *Higher* by Burna Boy

The category gained recognition last year when South African singer Tyla won the inaugural award with her song *Water*.

Tems’ debut album, *Born In The Wild*, and Rema’s sophomore album, *HEIS*, will compete alongside *Alkebulan II* by Matt B and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, *Paisajes* by Ciro Hurtado, and *Historias De Un Flamenco* by Antonio Rey.

With multiple nominations across categories, Nigerian artists continue to leave an indelible mark on the global music scene.
