Nigerian Celebrities Share New Year Messages and Goals for 2026

Nigerian celebrities have taken to social media to celebrate the New Year, sharing moments from their holiday festivities while expressing gratitude to God for the opportunity to witness 2026.

Several of the entertainers also used the occasion to outline their resolutions and goals for the year ahead. Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham, in an appreciation post on Instagram, thanked her supporters for standing by her and revealed her determination to stay focused and pursue growth in the new year.

Actor Stanley Ajemba, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, reflected on lessons learned in 2025, noting that he was determined not to repeat past mistakes as he welcomed 2026.

Singer Davido shared a short video featuring his wife on his Instagram story, describing the period as the best year spent with her. Actress Destiny Etiko, in a video message, expressed gratitude to God for life and declared 2026 as a promising year, acknowledging those who did not live to see the new year.

Veteran actress Ireti Doyle also shared a message on her Instagram story, emphasizing faith as she looked ahead to the year. Actress Bimpe Oyebade revealed that her focus in 2026 would be distancing herself from entitled individuals, noting that she had already cut ties with ungrateful people in the previous year.

Actress Moyo Lawal, who had been away from social media for months, returned to thank her fans for their support. She said she was looking forward to a fresh chapter in her life and career.

Popular TikToker Peller expressed gratitude to God for surviving a recent accident, stating that the incident almost claimed his life and thanking supporters for their encouragement.

Content creator Jarvis thanked God for the new year and appreciated loyal supporters, expressing confidence that 2026 would be a brighter year. Social media influencer and critic Isaac Fayose also shared his New Year celebration from Morocco, extending goodwill messages to his followers.
