Nigerian Immigration Service Confirms Arrest of Bobrisky at Seme Border

The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) has confirmed the arrest of popular internet personality, Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju, widely known as Bobrisky, at the Seme border while attempting to leave the country.

This comes after social media activist Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan, alleged that Bobrisky was apprehended on Sunday night while trying to flee Nigeria for the Benin Republic.

In a statement shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page, the NIS confirmed the arrest, stating: “In keeping with its commitment to securing the borders, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) intercepted Okuneye Idris Olanrewaju otherwise known as Bobrisky at the Seme Border over an attempt to exit the country.”

The agency further clarified that Bobrisky is currently a person of interest due to “recent issues of public concern” and is undergoing interrogation. He will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further action.

The NIS reassured the public that it remains committed to professionalism in its role of safeguarding the nation’s borders.
