The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited announced on Saturday that about 300 trucks have arrived at the Dangote Refinery in preparation for the loading of petrol, scheduled to commence on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

This follows the recent announcement by Aliko Dangote, Chairman of the Dangote Group, regarding the start of fuel production at the refinery. According to NNPC’s Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye, the trucks have been stationed at the refinery’s fuel loading gantry in Ibeju-Lekki.

The mobilization of trucks signals the refinery’s readiness to distribute its first batch of petrol, marking a significant step towards boosting Nigeria’s fuel production capabilities.
