Veteran Nollywood actor Bimbo Manuel has claimed that no Nigerian actor can afford high-end purchases, such as Range Rovers, purely from their acting income. In a recent appearance on TVC’s *Your View*, the 66-year-old actor addressed the pressures and misconceptions surrounding the luxurious lifestyles often displayed by celebrities online.
“The actors you see flaunting Range Rovers and mansions in Ikoyi are living fake lives,” Manuel stated, emphasizing that acting fees alone would not cover the cost of such luxury items. He voiced concerns that these portrayals contribute to unrealistic expectations about the entertainment industry.
Manuel also shared his preference for a “humble and realistic” lifestyle, expressing that he is less interested in material displays and more focused on living authentically. His comments have sparked conversation among fans and industry insiders, questioning the portrayal of wealth and success in Nollywood.
