The national convener of Soludo Support Group and Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo cum Chief of Protocol, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye Glamour has inaugurated Soludo Support Group (SSG) for all the markets in Ogbaru LGA as members vowed to garner votes for the re- election of Governor Charles Soludo come 2025 governorship election.
The Inauguration which took place at Ogbaru Main Market, Ogbaru also featured the flagging off of “You Need To Know Campaign” which according to the SSG National convener, Hon.Chinedu Nwoye Glamour that “It is a project designed to make people well informed about the good governance and developmental strides of Governor Charles Soludo”.
“We have noticed that enemies of Anambra State have continued to peddle fake news about what we are doing in the state, so we have decided to get people well informed, to educate people about what the governor has done in 24 months”.
“We choose Markets, Churches and Community meetings, because markets are converging centers where people meet and these people come from many places, towns, when they leave these places with information they have gotten, they will be able to disseminate this information.
On the alleged arrogant and intimidating manners that the state Anti Touting,SASA, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Road Traffic Agency, ARTMA carry out their duties, Hon. Glamour responded by requesting people to report if anybody sees them.
According to him “All our agents on the streets are doing very well because we trained them to be good, but when you see some of them who are not doing well, pass the message so that the person will be penalised by the Governor, because he wants us to lead by example”, he said.
The Chairman of Soludo Support Group, Ogbaru Local Government Area, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu reiterated that he formed Soludo Support Group in Ogbaru LG when he had not become the elected or Caretaker Committee Chairman of the market.
“For being the Chairman of the markets in Ogbaru LG, every chairman under Ogbaru market must belong to Soludo Support Group, whether old or new, you must follow us, till tomorrow, anybody that comes in as the chairman will join us, and it would have been more bigger than this as earlier planned but we lost one of our Patrons, Chief Sam Mendu”.
“My advise to the inaugurated people today is that I am a stakeholder, I don’t hope for people to give me, what you can do for your followers is that we are traders, you need to support them by supplying them with goods for them to take the profits and return your main money to you”.
“I am the only person that mounted Governor Soludo bill board in 2021, as I am here, nobody will turn Ogbaru market to any other party, Governor Soludo is doing very well, he has built general hospital, constructed roads and other things in Ogbaru.
The Chairman of Iron Dealers Market, Atani road, Mr Evaristus Ejezie in his speech said, “I am here to to show that I am supporting the governor. We launched our trophy two days ago, I commended the governor, he has my full support, I am repeating it again that there is no vacancy for governorship seat come 2025 because we have a governor, a people’s choice, the working governor.
“He has done a lot and still doing more, In Ogbaru, he built general hospital, the pregnant and nursing mothers are taking treatments free of charge both free safe delivery and caesarean sessions, he constructed many roads, look at okpoko, abandoned place where pigs have taken over the roads but go to okpoko now, you will not believe it.
Hon.Engr Chike Ozorji, Former APGA State Youth Leader, former secretary APGA Dunukofia in his speech rated Governor Soludo high saying that ”He is doing tremendously well, under two years, he has been able to construct more than 460 kms of roads, this is what other governors couldn’t do under 8 years and he still has a lot to cover.
“I am highly impressed because I know he is a party leader and I am one of the members of the party. Good governance and good performance are the yardstick that will determine who will go, nobody will contest with Governor Soludo, his head and shoulder are above whoever that is going to contest with him “.
“Ndi Anambra are seeing the truth, he will be re elected by the people and masses in Anambra State come 2025, and I’m telling you with confidence that we are going to repeat 21/21.
“My advice to Anambrarians is that there is no shortcut to success, some people will hope on bringing result from Abuja to deliver to Anambra, In Anambra, nobody has the capacity to write results, whatever that will declare that day will be the reflection from the polling units, nobody can defraud us in this state, nobody can do it against the wishes of Ndi Anambra
Highpoint of the event was the celebration of holy mass and disposition of the Blessed Sacrament by Rev.Fr Okpara Chukwuebuka of St.Francis of Assisi Okpoko and one minute silence for Late Sam Mendu
