OCHA Brigade Chief Warns Residents Against Vandalizing Public Property

The Managing Director of Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra (OCHA Brigade), Comrade Celestine Anere, has issued a stern warning to the public against vandalizing public properties and entering unauthorized areas.

Speaking to the press in Awka, Comrade Anere highlighted the state’s significant investments in beautifying and modernizing various regions. He cautioned youths against falling prey to political mischief aimed at discrediting the government, sowing discord, and damaging facilities intended for the people’s well-being.

Referencing a recent online video that went viral, which showed a water vendor at the Ochanja Roundabout Water Fountain, Comrade Anere emphasized the government’s disapproval of such tampering and potential vandalization of public utilities funded by taxpayers. He warned that anyone caught defacing, damaging, or tampering with public infrastructure would face immediate arrest and prosecution.

Comrade Anere also advised against participating in propaganda that could lead to legal consequences. He urged community stakeholders and religious organizations to help protect public property, noting that continuous damage tarnishes the state’s image.

Residents were encouraged to report or provide video evidence of any acts of vandalism to the OCHA Brigade. Comrade Anere called on the community to support the transformative efforts of the Soludo administration, aimed at enhancing the state’s development for the benefit of all.
