Okpoko Community Praises Soludo-Led Administration for Solar Boreholes and Toilet Facilities in Schools

The President General of Okpoko Community in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Chief Francis Enemuo, has commended the administration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo for providing solar-powered boreholes and toilet facilities to local schools. The facilities were handed over during a ceremony at Okpoko Community Primary School III, Okpoko Community School 5 and 6, and the Obife secretariat premises.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ezenwa Udoka, President General of Okpoko, expressed the community’s satisfaction with the Soludo administration’s developmental efforts. He highlighted the benefits Okpoko has enjoyed, including road networks, solar-powered electricity, pipe-borne water, and free education. Udoka pledged the community’s continued support for Governor Soludo, especially during his re-election campaign.

The Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, represented by Mr. Onyedibe Okechukwu, Team Leader for the Anambra North Senatorial Zone Water Rehabilitation Projects, urged the community and schools to protect the new facilities. He emphasized the government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in Okpoko and ensuring the community receives the full benefits of good governance.

In their remarks, the headmistresses of the beneficiary schools expressed gratitude to the state government for addressing their long-standing challenges with water and sanitation. They pledged to maintain the facilities and ensure they remain functional for the students’ benefit.

The contractor, El-Bukelz Nigerian Limited, thanked the community leaders and school administrators for their cooperation during the project’s execution. He also appreciated the state government for providing him the opportunity to contribute to the development of Anambra.

The event concluded with an inspection of the projects, a performance by the pupils of Okpoko Community Schools 5 and 6, and the signing of official documents to mark the handover of the facilities.
