More than 1,000 residents of Nri in Anaocha Local Government Area and neighboring communities have received free healthcare services through the maiden edition of the Nwabueze Oli Free Medical Outreach.
Held at the community center, the program provided beneficiaries, including the elderly, youth, and women, with free medical consultations, health checks, and medicines. A team of medical doctors and healthcare professionals offered their expertise to ensure residents accessed quality care.
The sponsor, Mr. Nwabueze Oli, a UK-based realtor, stated that the initiative aimed to improve the health and well-being of his community, particularly for the poor and less-privileged. Describing it as his way of giving back to society, he emphasized the importance of accessible and affordable medical care.
Dr. Ken Okeke, a lead member of the medical team, advised residents to adhere to medical recommendations and encouraged individuals aged 40 and above to prioritize regular checkups for better health management.
Beneficiaries like Mrs. Veronica Nwokwe and Chief Felix Oli expressed gratitude to Mr. Oli for addressing one of the community’s most pressing needs. They prayed for continued blessings on him for his dedication to caring for the less fortunate.
The outreach marks a significant step in promoting health and wellness within the Nri community.
