Pep Guardiola Hints at Departure from Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has indicated that he is “closer to leaving than staying” with the Premier League champions. Speaking after City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham on Sunday, which secured their fourth consecutive league title, Guardiola revealed uncertainties about his future.

Having led City to six English top-flight titles, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium. Despite his success, Guardiola has not yet made a definitive decision about his tenure.

“The reality is, I’m closer to leaving than to staying,” he told Sky Sports. “It’s been eight years; it will be nine. Right now, my feeling is I want to stay next season. We’ve talked with the club, and we have time to discuss things next season because I need to see how the players feel as well; if they follow me, they follow us.”

Guardiola’s comments have sparked speculation about the future direction of Manchester City, with fans and analysts keenly watching for further developments.
