All preparations are complete for the highly anticipated launch of phase two of the 1 Youth 2 Skills program. Governor Chukwuma Soludo will officially inaugurate the second phase of this entrepreneurship initiative on Thursday, August 8, 2024, aiming to empower more youths in Anambra State.
The pilot phase of the program successfully empowered 5,000 Anambra youths in various trades and skills, with a focus on creating youth millionaires and generating quality jobs.
Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, announced today in Awka that the second phase will train and empower 8,000 youths across 620 training centers, strategically selected across the 326 political wards in Anambra State.
Mr. Agha Mba emphasized that the second phase will be community-driven, featuring enhanced services, proper monitoring, and evaluation to ensure the program’s objectives are met. He expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo for his dedication to providing Anambra youths with a promising future, especially during the current economic crisis.
Mr. Agha Mba also expressed optimism that the program will cultivate skilled farmers and entrepreneurs who will become employers of labor and contribute to the state’s growth and development.
