Police Launch Investigation After Brutal Assault and Humiliation of Woman in Calabar Hotel

In a shocking incident that has sparked widespread outrage, a young woman known as Pretty Goddess has been accused of luring her friend, Debit Queen, to a hotel in Calabar, Cross River State, where she was brutally assaulted, stripped naked, and humiliated on video. The disturbing incident reportedly occurred on Thursday evening and has since gone viral on social media.

According to multiple sources, Pretty Goddess, whose real name remains undisclosed, discovered that Debit Queen, also known by an alias, was allegedly involved with her boyfriend, Ralph. Fueled by jealousy and anger, Pretty Goddess arranged a meeting with Debit Queen under the guise of a friendly visit. However, upon Debit Queen’s arrival at the hotel, she was confronted by Pretty Goddess and three other girls, who subjected her to severe physical assault, including flogging and stripping her naked.

The attack was recorded on video, which was later posted online by Pretty Goddess, further intensifying the public’s outrage. Nude videos of Debit Queen have been trending on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) for over 48 hours, adding to the humiliation.

In a retaliatory act, another popular blogger posted nude videos of Pretty Goddess, escalating the situation. Debit Queen, in a video posted after the incident, recounted her traumatic experience, denying any involvement with Ralph and expressing shock at the brutal treatment she received from someone she considered a friend.

In a controversial attempt to justify her actions, Pretty Goddess admitted to luring Debit Queen to the hotel out of anger after discovering her boyfriend’s communication with Debit Queen. She claimed that the assault was not premeditated and expressed regret over the incident, offering an apology to Debit Queen.

The Cross River State Police, led by Commissioner Augustine Grimah, has responded swiftly by launching an investigation into the incident. The police have condemned the attack as a severe physical assault and have ordered the arrest of the perpetrators. They also urged hotels to conduct thorough background checks on guests to prevent such incidents in the future.

Debit Queen is currently receiving medical attention in a hospital in Calabar for the injuries sustained during the assault. The police have assured the public that they will provide updates on the progress of the investigation.
