The ongoing social media feud between controversial singer Portable and his colleague Davido has escalated, with Portable hitting back at Davido after the latter unfollowed him on Instagram.
The rift between the two artists began when Portable publicly accused Davido of providing him with “bad advice” during a recent dinner in the United States. Portable claimed that Davido, who has experience with Sony Music, dissuaded him from joining the label and instead suggested he sign with Empire.
The ‘Zazu’ crooner expressed dissatisfaction, stating his ambitions to win a Grammy like Davido, yet feeling Davido’s guidance may not lead to achieving that goal.
In response to Davido unfollowing him on Instagram, Portable declared that he doesn’t require Davido’s followership or assistance to succeed in his music career or to achieve a Grammy. He implied that Davido unfollowed him because he no longer provided benefits to him.
In a video message posted on his Instagram page, Portable asserted, “They tried to undermine me and quickly unfollowed me because I ceased to be useful to them. Whether they support me or not, I will continue my journey; whether they follow me or not, I will win a Grammy.”
