President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his dedication to serving the nation, emphasizing that his pursuit of the presidency was not motivated by personal gain. He made this clear during a meeting with the Forum of Former Presiding Officers of the National Assembly, led by former Senate President Ken Nnamani, on Friday.
Tinubu assured the gathering that his administration is focused on delivering results across key sectors, including education and long-term economic stability.
“I didn’t come to look for money and exploit the situation; I came to work. I asked for the votes, and Nigerians gave them to me,” the president stated.
The meeting was attended by 16 former presiding officers, including past Senate Presidents, Speakers of the House of Representatives, Deputy Senate Presidents, and Deputy Speakers, who gathered to discuss national issues and support the administration’s agenda.
