President Tinubu Announces New Ministerial Appointments in Federal Executive Council Meeting

In a significant reshuffle, President Bola Tinubu announced the appointment of new ministers during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. Below are brief profiles of the newly appointed ministers:

1. Bianca Odinakachukwu Olivia Odumegwu-Ojukwu
Born on August 5, 1968, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu is a multifaceted politician, diplomat, lawyer, businesswoman, and renowned beauty pageant titleholder. As the widow of former Biafran president Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, she has held several prestigious titles, including Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Miss Africa, and Miss Intercontinental. Bianca has also served as a presidential advisor and was Nigeria’s ambassador to Ghana and Spain. She has now been appointed as the new Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

2. Barr. Bello Muhammad Goronyo
Previously the Minister of State for Water Resources and Sanitation, Goronyo has transitioned to become the Minister of State for Works.

3. Dr. Morufu Olatunji Alausa
Formerly the Minister of State for Health, Alausa will now serve as the Minister of Education.

4. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim
After serving as the Minister of State for Police Affairs, Sulaiman-Ibrahim has been appointed as the Minister of Women Affairs.

5. Senator John Owan Enoh
Currently serving as the Minister of Sports Development, Enoh will take on the role of Minister of State for Trade and Investment (Industry).

6. Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite
Previously the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Uzoka-Anite has now been appointed as the new Minister of State for Finance.

7. Ayodele Olawande
Olawande has been upgraded from Minister of State for Youth Development to the position of Minister of Youth Development.

These appointments reflect President Tinubu’s strategy to enhance governance and streamline the functions of various ministries as the administration continues to tackle pressing national issues.
