On Thursday, President Bola Tinubu approved the appointment of Mr. Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the Atiku Abubakar campaign, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House. This announcement was made by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, in a statement titled “President Tinubu Appoints Three Directors-General And One Special Adviser On Public Communication.”
In addition to Bwala’s appointment, three other individuals were named as directors-general of various agencies:
1. **Mr. Olawale Olopade** – Director-General, National Sports Commission (NSC). Olopade, a seasoned sports administrator, previously served as the commissioner for youth and sports in Ogun State and chaired the Local Organising Committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
2. **Dr. Abisoye Fagade** – Director-General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Fagade is a marketing communications professional and founder of Sodium Brand Solutions.
3. **Dr. Adebowale Adedokun** – Director-General, Bureau of Public Procurement. Adedokun was formerly the Director of Research/Training and Strategic Planning at the Bureau.
The Presidency lauded Bwala as a lawyer and prominent public affairs analyst, while also urging all the newly appointed officials to serve with patriotism, excellence, and dedication.
