President Bola Tinubu will address the nation in a broadcast on Sunday as hunger protests continue across different parts of the country.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
The broadcast will be aired on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) at 7:00 am on Sunday. “Television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast,” the statement read.
The broadcast will also be repeated on NTA and FRCN at 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm on the same day.
This announcement follows calls for the President to address the nation as the #EndBadGovernance protest entered its third day on Saturday. Opposition leaders and other Nigerians have demanded that the President speak amid the unrest.
