Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Enjoy Hospitality at ‘The Delborough Lagos’ During Visit to Nigeria

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, were treated to a warm reception and exquisite hospitality during their visit to ‘The Delborough Lagos’ on Sunday afternoon. Hosted by eminent Nigerians, the royal couple expressed their satisfaction with the hospitality and attention to detail at the prestigious venue.

Prince Harry commended the exceptional hospitality, stating, “Hospitality at ‘The Delborough Lagos’ is second to none,” while Meghan praised the meticulous attention to detail, describing it as empirical.

Eager to immerse themselves in Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, the couple expressed enthusiasm for their visit. Prince Harry remarked, “We are delighted to explore the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria,” while Meghan added, “It is a privilege to engage with the vibrant Nigerian community.”

Prior to their visit to ‘The Delborough Lagos,’ Prince Harry and Meghan met with Nigerian businessman and owner of the establishment, Dr. Uzochukwu Stanley, in Abuja. The couple’s visit to Nigeria aims to promote the Invictus Games, with Prince Harry participating in a seated volleyball match with Nigerian Army veterans wounded in battle against the country’s Islamist insurgency.

The Duke and Duchess embarked on their three-day visit to Nigeria at the invitation of the Armed Forces of Nigeria. They began their itinerary by visiting the Lightway Academy, supported by their Archewell Foundation, to train young girls affected by conflicts in Nigeria. Subsequently, they met with the nation’s military officers, engaging in activities aimed at promoting mental health awareness.

At the Lightway Academy, the couple was greeted with enthusiasm by students and teachers, with Meghan acknowledging the energetic dance performance. They interacted with students, discussing mental health and sharing insights about their own children, Archie and Lilibet.

Addressing the issue of mental health stigma, Prince Harry encouraged openness and dialogue, urging individuals to prioritize mental well-being. The couple’s visit underscores their commitment to promoting important social causes and fostering meaningful connections with communities around the world.
