Raptors Group and Aptech Open 10th Technology Training Centre in Lekki

Raptors Group, a leading technology firm, has unveiled its 10th centre in partnership with Aptech, a renowned technology education provider, in Lekki, Lagos. This new facility is designed to offer advanced computer technology training to Nigerians seeking diploma and degree qualifications.

Chief Operating Officer of Raptors Group, Sajan Suvarna, highlighted the unique opportunities available through this partnership, including connections to UK-based universities for students pursuing degrees. “The diploma we offer is a pathway to an engineering degree at Middlesex University,” Suvarna stated. “Through our collaboration with Middlesex University, students can complete two years of their engineering program at our Nigerian centres and finish their final year at Middlesex in the UK, obtaining a degree in software engineering.”

The collaboration between Raptors Group and Aptech presents a cost-effective educational option, saving students approximately £30,000 (N15 million) in tuition fees. The ADSE program, which costs around £15,000 per year, provides a route to a UK degree at significantly reduced costs.

With 35 years of expertise in IT training, Aptech’s partnership with Middlesex University enables students to access world-class education. Raptors Group, the largest Aptech franchisee in Nigeria, offers training in IT, retail, and hospitality, equipping students with cross-functional skills to enhance their employability across various industries.

Suvarna emphasized the distinctive aspects of the new centre: “We are the sole franchisee with the Aptech Learning License. Aptech Learning not only focuses on IT but also on retail and hospitality, aiming to provide youths with essential skills for customer service and industry-specific roles.”

The ADSE program allows students to study for two years at the Nigerian centres and complete their degree at Middlesex in the UK, thereby saving considerable amounts on tuition fees.

Sumit Sharma, Head of Operations at Raptors West Africa Limited, emphasized the program’s benefits: “Nigerians possess exceptional coding and programming talents. Our updated curriculum aligns with current market needs, enhancing job prospects both locally and internationally. Our courses are designed to facilitate employment; thus, we refer to them as ‘Job Accentuated Programs from Aptech.’”

Sharma also noted that the choice of Lekki for the new centre aligns with the goal of bringing educational opportunities closer to Nigeria’s youth demographic.
