In response to the recent fuel price hike and economic challenges in Nigeria, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Youth Province 1 in Lagos has announced a free three-month transportation initiative titled “Free Bus To Work Powered By RCCG Youth Province 1.” This program aims to provide relief to residents of Lagos and Ogun States.
The announcement was made via a post on the Province’s X.com account on Saturday, detailing the program’s specifics. The free transportation service will operate from October 14 to December 6, 2024, and will be available strictly on weekdays, from Mondays to Fridays.
According to the post, buses will transport commuters from various pick-up locations, including:
– Car Park C/Mowe Bus Stop to Law School, Victoria Island at 5:45 am and 6:00 am.
– Car Park C/Mowe Bus Stop to Berger/7Up Bus Stop at 6:00 am, 7:00 am, and 8:00 am.
– RCCG Joseph Palace to CMS at 6:00 am.
– From Mowe to Sagamu Interchange at 7:30 am.
– From Agege to Ikeja at 7:00 am.
– From Ikorodu to Maryland at 6:00 am.
Drop-off services will enable commuters to return home from designated locations by 5:30 pm.
The initiative also includes a free Daily Open Heavens Devotional available on each bus, providing spiritual guidance alongside the transportation service.
This program follows the earlier unveiling of a free bus service by RCCG Youth Province 1 on September 23, 2024, aimed at assisting commuters in major areas of Lagos and Ogun States. The initiative was launched in response to Nigeria’s rising inflation and is designed to alleviate transportation costs while offering spiritual care and support to the community.
