Comedian and actress, Anita Asuoha, popularly known as **Real Warri Pikin**, has revealed that one of her biggest regrets before joining the entertainment industry was not learning to say “no” earlier.
In an interview with **Saturday Beats**, Asuoha said she only learnt how to set boundaries two years ago, which would have helped her avoid certain challenges in her career.
“I wish I knew how to say the word ‘no’ earlier. I learnt it so late. If I knew how to say it earlier than two years ago, many things wouldn’t have happened. But I am still grateful for where I am today,” she said.
On how women can protect themselves in society, the comedian advised women to trust their instincts, choose their battles wisely, and avoid unnecessary risks.
“We need to listen to our instincts more. If some things are not necessary, don’t do them. Don’t trust people so easily because that’s how most of us get hurt. You can’t control how people treat you, but you can control how you respond,” she added.
Real Warri Pikin has been vocal about women empowerment and mental health awareness through her comedy and social media platforms.
