Remo Stars have congratulated their goalkeeper, Kayode Bankole, on his maiden invitation to the Super Eagles’ provisional squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Bankole was among the 38 players named by head coach Eric Chelle on Tuesday, with five goalkeepers listed in the squad, which will be trimmed to 23 players.
The goalkeeper, who previously featured for the home-based Super Eagles in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers, is earning his first call-up to the senior national team.
Remo Stars praised Bankole’s achievement, describing his selection as a reward for his dedication and hard work.
