Rivers United have announced the appointment of Finidi George as their new head coach, citing his extensive experience and expertise as the key reasons behind their decision.
Finidi George signed his contract at the club’s secretariat in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
In a statement on the club’s official website, Rivers United highlighted Finidi’s distinguished playing career and coaching abilities as pivotal factors in their choice.
“Finidi brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team, having had a distinguished playing career spanning over fifteen years,” the statement read. “As a coach, Finidi has demonstrated his ability to lead teams to success, and we are confident that he will bring his expertise and passion to our club. We are excited to have him on board and look forward to a successful tenure under his leadership.”
Finidi George will be formally introduced to the media and club supporters at the Sharks Stadium in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
