Awka, Anambra State — October 29, 2025
The atmosphere at De Geo-Gold Hotel and Suites, Awka, was charged with elegance and enthusiasm on Saturday, October 11, 2025, as the Rotaract Club of Awka GRA installed its 19th President, Rtr. Kingsley Chikamso Chidiobi. The event, which drew Rotarians, community leaders, and young professionals from across Anambra State, also featured the presentation of the Professional Service Award to Rtn. Dr. Uche Gabriel Confidence, in recognition of his exceptional contributions to professional excellence, ethics, and service to humanity.
The award citation described Dr. Confidence as “a shining example of integrity, diligence, and commitment to humanitarian ideals.” His consistent involvement in Rotary activities, mentorship initiatives, and professional engagements has distinguished him as a model of excellence and inspiration to many.
Speaking shortly after receiving the honour, Dr. Confidence expressed deep appreciation to the Rotaract Club of Awka GRA for recognizing his efforts.
“This award is not just a personal honour,” he said. “It represents a call to greater responsibility. When your work speaks for you, it means people are watching. I am encouraged to keep doing more for the good of society.”
Reflecting on his journey in Rotary, Dr. Confidence emphasized that professional success should always be aligned with service and ethical leadership.
“Rotary teaches us that the essence of life is service,” he noted. “In every professional sphere, there is an opportunity to impact lives positively — whether through mentorship, innovation, or community development. That is what I strive to do daily.”
He further dedicated the award to “all professionals who uphold honesty, excellence, and compassion in their various fields,” urging young Rotaractors to remain focused on integrity and purpose.
“True success,” he added, “is not measured by wealth or titles, but by the number of lives we touch and the positive changes we inspire.”
Earlier in his address, the newly installed President, Rtr. Kingsley Chikamso Chidiobi, commended Dr. Confidence for his unwavering dedication to Rotary ideals and his mentorship of young professionals.
The event featured goodwill messages, live performances, and the presentation of awards to other distinguished guests who have contributed meaningfully to the club’s growth. The colourful ceremony concluded with a renewed pledge of service and fellowship under the new administration.
The Rotaract Club of Awka GRA, under Rotary International, continues to groom young leaders, promote peace, and champion professional and community development through impactful service projects across Anambra State and beyond.
