Nigerian model Samuel Nwajagu has made history as the first African to win the prestigious Mister International pageant. The landmark achievement occurred during the 16th edition of the competition, held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The event featured contestants from 47 countries, with Nwajagu emerging victorious after months of preparation. In July, he earned his place in the global contest by winning the title of Mister International Nigeria.
Nwajagu outshone other finalists, Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia, to claim the top spot. His historic win not only showcases his talent but also highlights the growing recognition of African excellence on the global stage.
