Public and private primary and secondary schools in Ogun State are poised to resume academic activities today, April 29, 2024, marking the beginning of a new school term.
In a press release issued by the state Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, parents and guardians were urged to prepare their children for the resumption, emphasizing that academic work would commence promptly.
Prof. Arigbabu extended his well wishes for a fruitful academic year to all educators, students, and non-academic staff members, underscoring the importance of a successful return to learning.
This reopening follows in the footsteps of neighbouring Lagos State, where primary and secondary schools commenced the Third Term Academic Session for the 2023/2024 academic year on April 22, 2024.
As schools across Ogun State prepare to welcome students back to the classrooms, stakeholders remain optimistic about the prospects of a productive and rewarding educational term ahead.
