Senator Ishaku Abbo, representing Adamawa State, is once again in the spotlight due to an alleged sexual scandal. A video surfaced late last week, showing a light-skinned man engaging in sexual activity with a woman, with claims linking the man to Senator Abbo. The video, which has gone viral, has yet to be substantiated by credible sources.
This controversy comes two years after Abbo was involved in a highly publicized incident where he attacked a breastfeeding mother in an Abuja sex toy shop. In response to the latest allegations, Senator Abbo held a press conference where he strongly denied being the person in the video.
“How can you identify a person without seeing his face or body, only parts of his legs, and claim it is Senator Abbo?” he questioned. Abbo, who was removed from the Senate by an Appeal Court earlier this year, accused his political opponents of orchestrating what he described as “timid blackmail.”
The senator dismissed the impact of the scandal, citing a similar case where a senator from the north was implicated in a sex video but continued to succeed politically. Abbo vowed to pursue legal action against those he believes are behind the video’s circulation and emphasized that such attempts would not deter his political ambitions.
Despite the controversy, Abbo asserted his belief in the loyalty of his supporters and his past performance as a senator, asserting that no amount of blackmail could undermine his political future.
