Senegal have booked their place in the Round of 16 at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after recording a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic on Tuesday night.

The win confirmed the Teranga Lions as Group D winners at the end of the group stage.

Abdoulaye Seck and Habib Diallo put Senegal in control with two first-half goals before captain Kalidou Koulibaly was sent off after receiving a straight red card.

Despite being reduced to ten men, Senegal extended their lead when Cherif Ndiaye added a third goal to seal a comprehensive victory.

Senegal will now face either Burkina Faso or Sudan in the knockout stage of the competition.
