Shooting Stars Bolster Squad with Eight New Signings Ahead of New Season

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), also known as the Oluyole Warriors, have strengthened their squad with the signing of eight new players for the upcoming season. The club made the official announcement during an unveiling ceremony at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Monday.

The newly signed players include goalkeepers Abiodun Akande from Rivers United, Mustapha Lawal from Sunshine Stars, and Ojietefian Sylvester from Enyimba. Additionally, defender Ikouwem Udom has joined the team from Tunisian side Anenir Sportif De la Marsar.

The Oluyole Warriors also bolstered their midfield and attack with Abubakar Aliu from Lobi Stars, Adebayo Abayomi from Remo Stars, and Bolaji Sakin Simeon from Congolese club AS Otoho. Striker Ayanrinde Samuel, who last played for Sporting Lagos FC, was also among those unveiled.

Head coach Gbenga Ogunbote emphasized that these signings were strategic, aimed at addressing specific weaknesses the team faced last season. Despite finishing fourth in the previous campaign, Ogunbote believes the new additions will enhance the team’s performance in the upcoming season.

The Oluyole Warriors are gearing up for what promises to be a competitive season, with the new recruits expected to play pivotal roles in their quest for success.
