Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has shared his disappointment after meeting with Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, during an encounter in Edo State over the weekend.
Obi was in Benin to support Labour Party’s gubernatorial candidate, Olumide Akpata, while Portable was in town for a show. In a viral video circulating on social media, Portable was seen respectfully bowing to greet Obi beside his car.
However, in a separate video, Portable expressed dissatisfaction, lamenting that Obi did not offer him any money. Comparing Obi to President Bola Tinubu, Portable remarked to his crew, “Obi cannot give us anything. Obi didn’t give us anything. If it was Tinubu we met, he would have given us something. Let’s go.”
The incident has sparked discussions online, with many reacting to Portable’s comments and the meeting.
