–Announces Comprehensive Security Solution Launch For Saturday

Earlier today, the 15th day of January, 2025, the Governor of Anambra state, Professor Chukwuma Soludo said his administration will be launching what he called a comprehensive security solution in the state this Saturday.
The Governor mulled this while making a remark during the 2025 Nigerian armed forces remembrance day celebration held at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka.
Soludo used the opportunity to announce that the state joint team comprising the Nigeria Police and men of the Anambra vigilante Group attacked and neutralised the camp of unknown gunmen at Ufuma community, Orumba North LGA where five armed robbers were killed and undetonated explosives, AK47 rifles, pump action gun among others were recovered.
While thanking the fallen heroes for their sacrifices for the nation, Soludo informed that the security solution when launched would holistically address all issues surrounding the Anambra security.
He expressed optimism that the homeland security bill before the state house of Assembly would be passed soon which according to him posseses the capacity of tackling all security issues in the state.
The Governor pointed out that while we remember our fallen heroes and celebrate our gallent security men and women, that ndi Anambra should know that ” security is everybody’s business. If you see something say something and do something”.
He urged community leaders to take charge of the security of their localities by giving valid information concerning activities of criminals in their communities.
This years armed forces rememberance day was attended by Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, service chiefs, retired officers and men of security agencies, Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Head of Service, Barr Okwuy Igwegbe, ndi Igwe Anambra, SSG Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu and Deputy Chief of Staff and Chief of Protocol, Chief Chinedu Nwoye Glamour.
Others were Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, Commissioner for Local Government And Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, Chairman of Anambra State Physical Planning Board, Barr. Chike Maduekwe, Council Chairmen, ASATU President, Barr Titus Akpudo, Dr Nwabufo Nwankwo, Perm Sec SSG Office, police officers, Army Officers, Naval officers, students among others.
