Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has extended his warm congratulations to the people of Anambra on the 33rd anniversary of the state’s creation.
Governor Soludo delivered his message from the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia during a statewide broadcast, commemorating the significant milestone.
In his address, Governor Soludo reflected on the aspirations that led to the creation of Anambra State, likening them to the goals of his own administration. He emphasized that Anambra is truly on an upward trajectory, noting that the state is now the sixth-largest economy in Nigeria with some of the lowest poverty rates in the country.
The Governor highlighted the fact that 75% of Anambra is largely urbanized and that the state continues to excel in the social sector, particularly in education, where it ranks among the best with a successful free education program and the lowest number of out-of-school children.
Governor Soludo also mentioned the ongoing reforms in healthcare and infrastructure, and he took the opportunity to honor Anambra’s past heroes who contributed to the state’s prosperity. He acknowledged the challenges that lie ahead but reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to elevating Anambra to even greater heights.
