Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of Ndi Anambra, vowing to make the state uninhabitable for criminals.
Governor Soludo made this declaration at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Awka, during a valedictory session in honor of the late Honourable Justice Azuka, who represented Onitsha North Constituency I before his tragic abduction and murder by hoodlums.
Represented by his deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, the governor commended the House for the swift passage of the Homeland Security Law, emphasizing that the legislation has significantly strengthened the state’s security framework. He urged residents to actively support security agencies by providing vital information to enhance crime-fighting efforts.
Earlier, the Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, lauded security operatives for swiftly apprehending those responsible for Honourable Azuka’s killing. He assured that the Assembly would not abandon the late lawmaker’s family, pledging continued support to ensure his children receive the care they deserve.
