Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, and other prominent figures have endorsed the book *Beyond Sycophancy* as a valuable guide for achieving success in life. The book, an autobiography by Sir Chido Obidiegwu, the immediate past Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS), was launched during his 60th birthday celebration.
The launch event, held in Awka, attracted key figures from government, academia, the media, and the corporate world. *Beyond Sycophancy* narrates Sir Chido’s journey as a master of ceremony and his life’s key lessons.
Governor Soludo, represented by his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, praised Sir Chido’s multifaceted contributions to the state’s development, recommending the book as essential reading for anyone seeking life success. He commended Sir Chido for his accomplishments at 60, highlighting his significant impact on Anambra State.
Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, who attended with other Assembly members, also lauded Sir Chido’s achievements. He described him as a passionate and dedicated figure and wished him continued success.
Professor Kate Omenugha, Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University and co-chairperson of the event, acknowledged Sir Chido as one of Anambra’s finest, emphasizing the importance of preserving his insights on public speaking for future generations.
Renowned law professor and book reviewer, Ken Nworgu, praised *Beyond Sycophancy* as a critical resource for mastering ceremonies and urged schools and libraries to add it to their collections.
In his speech, Sir Chido expressed gratitude to Governor Soludo, former Governors Peter Obi and Willie Obiano, and Senator Victor Umeh for their roles in his career milestones. He also thanked attendees for their support throughout his journey in public service and event hosting.
