Governor Chukwuma Soludo, National Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has inaugurated a 489-member Governorship Campaign Council ahead of the November 8, 2025 election.
The ceremony, held at the APGA regional office in Awka, brought together party leaders and stakeholders. Soludo said the members were carefully selected from Anambra’s 8.5 million residents to deliver the party’s message of hope to the grassroots. He praised APGA’s founding fathers for their sacrifices since its establishment in 2002, describing the party as an enduring idea rather than just an organization.
The governor urged council members to focus on mobilization at polling units, wards, and local government levels. He reflected on APGA’s history and pledged that his administration, under the party’s banner, would continue to deliver projects that improve the lives of the people.
Director General of the Campaign Council, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, charged members to bring their energy, ideas, and commitment to the campaign. He emphasized that they had been enlisted to drive Soludo’s re-election as “underdogs” facing unknown opponents, but expressed confidence that victory would be secured across polling units statewide.
APGA National Chairman, Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa, Anambra State APGA Chairman Barrister Ifeatu Obiokoye, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, Chief Ifeyinwa Obegolu, Dr. Paschal Agbodike, Senator Emmanuel Nwachukwu and other leaders described Soludo as a consensus candidate. They highlighted his development record and pledged full support for his re-election.
