Soludo Urges Unity Among Christians, Highlights Government’s Commitment to Education and Inclusivity

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has called for unity among Christians, emphasizing that all believers are one in the body of Christ. He made this statement during the commissioning of the Assemblies of God Cathedral and Evangel Solution Fountain School at Assemblies of God Church, Fegge, Onitsha.

Governor Soludo expressed his strong belief in ecumenism as a tool for fostering unity and adding value to society. He assured the congregation that his administration does not consider religious affiliations, state of origin, or social standing when making decisions, but instead focuses on competence and value addition.

The Governor also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the poor, forgotten, and downtrodden members of society. He thanked the church and various private foundations for their contributions to education, underscoring the importance of education in building a better future. This is reflected in his administration’s free education policy, which covers nursery to senior secondary school students in all government-run schools.

In a show of support, Rev. Uma Ukpai praised Governor Soludo for giving the Igbo people renewed hope and for securing a place of honor for them in Nigeria. He assured the Governor of continued prayers and encouragement, urging him not to give up on his efforts.
