Soludo’s Wife Vows Justice for Alleged Molestation of 8-Year-Old

Mrs. Nonye Soludo, the wife of the Anambra State governor, has pledged to ensure that a 75-year-old man accused of molesting an eight-year-old girl in Awka faces the full consequences of his actions.

Following the arrest of the elderly barber for allegedly luring and molesting the minor in his house in Isiagu, Awka South Local Government Area, Mrs. Soludo expressed her determination to pursue the case diligently and ensure that justice is served.

Emphasizing the seriousness of the matter, Mrs. Soludo called for calm to allow authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, promising regular updates to the public on the progress of the case.

She asserted that Anambra State is intolerant of any form of abuse, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to punishing offenders severely.

Mrs. Soludo commended the prompt intervention of the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare, highlighting the importance of providing a safe environment for every child in the state.

Additionally, she reiterated her commitment to raising awareness and education on social issues through her non-governmental movement, while urging parents and guardians to remain vigilant about their children’s surroundings and associations.

Mrs. Soludo stressed the collective responsibility of society in ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes face justice rather than being shielded or excused.
