It was a star-studded evening in Ikoyi, Lagos, as top Nollywood figures turned up for the premiere of veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo’s latest film, *Radio Voice*. The premiere, held at the Alliance Francaise centre last weekend, featured glitz, glamour, and a celebration of resilience.
Speaking about the storyline, RMD said the film explores the lives and challenges of radio broadcasters, touching on issues such as cyberbullying and the fight to succeed despite adversity. “It is a triumph of the human spirit over adversity. That sums it all,” he noted.
While acknowledging that every film production comes with challenges, the screen legend described such hurdles as opportunities to be conquered. He also extended heartfelt appreciation to the team behind the project — from the producers Blessing Obasi-Nze, Yolanda Okereke, and Karamat Eko, to the director Isioma Osaje, and the star-studded cast which includes Timini Egbuson, Deyemi Okanlawon, Nansy Isime, Damilola Adegbite, and Nse Ikpe-Etim.
“This film is a true labour of love. We refused to drop the ball, and that has made all the difference,” RMD added.
Celebrities such as Ego Boyo, Ini Edo, Iyabo Ojo, Toyin Abraham, and Elozonam were spotted at the glamorous premiere, adding extra sparkle to the unforgettable night.
