–As Chidimma Encourages Entrepreneurs Not to Give Up

Monday, October 27, 2025, Mss Chidimma Oramali, the chief executive officer of Sunshine Agro and Stores, makers of Garri Nteje, opened their walk-in store at Amaku General Hospital Road (beside the Pharmaceutical society of Nigeria office) in Awka, Anambra state
In a mini ceremony, a Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Rowland Victor Okoli, parish priest of Christ The King Parish, GRA, Awka led the prayer session heralding the official opening of the outlet.
Speaking shortly after the opening, Mss Chidimma Oramali, the CEO of Sunshine Agro and Stores – makers of Garri Nteje brand thanked guests who made out time to attend the mini event inspite of short notice.
Oramali said that innovation was the new way of entrepreneurship. ” No product or service is too local. What the world needs is for you to add value that solves their pain point, then you are good to go.
“If we can transform ordinary Garri into a world-class product, it shows the limitlessness of the agricultural value chain. Currently, we have white garri, yellow garri and Garrivita, come and patronise us,” she said.
The Anambra state coordinator of Nigeria Export Promotion Council, Mr Peter Udom, commended Chidimma Oramali for standing out from the crowd.
He stated that the NEPC had because of how useful Oramali is have been engaging her as one of their resource persons during workshops or trainings and urged others to emulate her.
Leading the prayers for breaking of kola nuts, Chief Chidiebele Obika prayed for regular sales and expansion. He appealed to the gods of the land to accept and empower Chidimma more and declared that soon, her brand would be known worldwide.
The guests were served garrivita with specially prepared Egwusi soup, garri granules with sweetener, groundnuts, milk and water, and assorted drinks.
Some guests also bought and went home with some of the company’s products.
The State Chairman of Nigeria Association of Small and Medium Enterprise, Mr Chinaemelum Oguegbe, Chief Onwuaso Nwanneka, Chairman of Bon Hotels Awka, Barr Chidi Amaeze, MD Senatorch Ltd, Hon. Bonaventure Enemali, Former Commissioner for Lands, Dr lady Ndidi Mezue, former Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Dr Kalu Ogbonna , former Deputy Rector, Federal Corporative College, Oji River and AWCCIMA represented by Mr Sam Peace attended the occasion.
Others were The Pivot Team led by Mr Anthony Ben, Engr Chidi Obiudu, Hon. Vincent Ezechukwu, Hon.Chinedu Ofomata, Mr Obi Trice, Chidiebere Maduafor, Uchechukwu Ebonam, Hon. Caleb Okechukwu, Charles Udegbunam, Ifeanyi Okikadigbo, Samuel and Ifunanya Oramali among others.
