Newly appointed Super Eagles coach, Eric Chelle, is set to travel to Europe next week to meet with senior members of the Nigerian national team, the DAILY POST has reported.
Chelle, who was officially unveiled by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja on Monday, will first engage with the home-based Super Eagles team preparing for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) before departing for Europe this weekend.
The 47-year-old Malian tactician’s first stop will be in France, where he plans to meet Nantes winger Moses Simon. Chelle will also visit Victor Osimhen in Turkey, alongside other key players based in England and Germany.
Following the conclusion of his European engagements, Chelle is expected to return to Nigeria before the month’s end. His itinerary includes accompanying the home-based Super Eagles to CHAN 2024, where he will assume a supervisory role.
The former Mali international defender’s visits aim to strengthen relationships with players and align them with his vision as the new head coach.
