The management of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) in Ijagun, Ogun State, has taken disciplinary action against 83 students for various acts of misconduct, including forgery, threats to life, examination malpractices, and other fraudulent activities.

In a statement released by the university’s Registrar, Mr. Dapo Oke, it was revealed that 25 students have been rusticated, while 58 others have been suspended indefinitely. Among those rusticated is Ojo Michael, a 200-level Computer Science student, who has been rusticated for the entire 2023/2024 academic session.

The sanctions were based on recommendations from the Examination Malpractice and Students’ Disciplinary Committee and were approved by the university’s Senate during its meeting on July 31, 2024.

The university has instructed the affected students to stay away from the campus, warning that failure to comply will result in legal action and enforcement by the institution’s security personnel.
