Chief Nonso Nwachukwu, former chairman of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in Agulu Ward Three, and Engineer Chidi Anyaoke have officially joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
The duo was welcomed into the party during a reception at the compound of the Deputy Mayor of Anaocha Local Government Area, Barrister Peter Emene, in Agulu. The Mayor of the Local Government, Chief Romanus Ibekwe, praised their decision, stating that APGA is built on love and unity. He emphasized that their defection would not only expand the party’s membership but also bring positive prospects to the Agulu community.
Chief Anthony Ugorji, Chairman of APGA in Anaocha Local Government Area, expressed joy over their decision. He attributed their move to the people-oriented programs and developmental strides of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra State. He assured the new members that they would enjoy all rights and benefits as APGA members.
Chief Nonso and Engineer Chidi cited Governor Soludo’s remarkable achievements as their motivation for joining the party. They expressed hope that their membership would help attract more democratic dividends to Agulu.
Former Anaocha Constituency One representative in the Anambra State House of Assembly and a member of the Local Government Service Commission, Honourable Azubuike Okoye, commended APGA’s performance. He assured that the people of Anaocha would vote overwhelmingly for the party in the upcoming November 8 Anambra State governorship election.
