Uche Ogbodo Opens Up on Body Surgery, Says It Boosted Her Confidence After Childbirth

Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has shared that she underwent body enhancement surgery to regain her confidence following the birth of her third child.

Speaking in an interview with Saturday Beats, the actress said she struggled with her body image after childbirth and chose surgery to improve her mental and emotional well-being.

“I didn’t have an hourglass shape. Having babies didn’t help matters. I didn’t like what I saw after my third child, and I felt I owed it to myself to be happy and confident,” Ogbodo said, adding that the procedure was not to please anyone else but to feel good about herself.

She explained that she chose to be transparent about the surgery to inspire women facing similar challenges and criticized celebrities who hide such procedures from their fans.

“You’re a role model, yet you lie to those who genuinely love you. Many undergo procedures, disappear, and then return with new bodies without admitting it. Why hide it when you can encourage other women with your story?” she asked.

Ogbodo said her openness is part of her mission to help women struggling with self-esteem and noted that her husband fully supported her decision to undergo surgery.
