A delegation from the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS (UNAIDS), led by its country director, Dr. Leo Zekeng, visited the Governor’s Lodge in Amawbia for discussions with the Anambra State Government.
The visit aimed to enhance collaboration on developing and implementing effective HIV/AIDS control programs in the state. The UNAIDS team explored ways to provide technical support and mobilize resources to strengthen the response and sustain efforts to end HIV/AIDS by 2030.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo expressed optimism about the partnership, reaffirming the state’s commitment to combating the disease.
