Professor Florence Banku Obi, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Calabar, has called on the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star to extend its scholarship programs to more students. The appeal was made during a visit by the association, led by International President Hon Ekuma Ngwu, in celebration of its 45th anniversary with a focus on behavioral change.
Represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Eno Nta, Professor Obi praised the association’s advocacy for behavioral change and its intervention programs that support students. She encouraged the continuation and expansion of these efforts.
“I congratulate you on your 45th anniversary and urge you to continue your peace advocacy and other goal-oriented programs,” she stated.
Earlier, Hon Ekuma Ngwu expressed gratitude to Professor Obi for the opportunity to engage with the student group. He announced that the highlight of the 45th anniversary would be a mega campus conference on behavioral change at the University of Calabar. The event is expected to attract scholars, academic dons, religious scholars, and students from around the world.
Ngwu assured that the association would continue to offer scholarships to undergraduates and promote positive behavioral changes among students.
