Nigerian airline ValueJet has officially signed a partnership agreement with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) as the official airline for the NFF and the national teams.
At the ceremony held at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, ValueJet’s CEO, Capt. Omololu Majekodunmi, expressed the airline’s commitment to ensuring smooth and timely travel for the national teams during international matches and championships.
“We are thrilled by this historic partnership. Nigeria football has a rich history and passionate fan base. By partnering with the NFF, we aim to bring fresh energy to the game and provide seamless travel solutions for the national teams,” Majekodunmi said.
Sharif Inuwa, chairman of the NFF marketing and sponsorship committee, represented NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau. He acknowledged that ValueJet had been providing excellent services to the Super Eagles for over 16 months, flying them to away matches.
“We are pleased to formalize this partnership. The players and officials have commended ValueJet’s operations, and we are excited to take Nigeria football to greater heights with their support,” Inuwa said.
NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, also praised ValueJet for its professionalism and support, especially during the Super Eagles’ ordeal in Libya in October 2024, when the team was held hostage during a 2025 AFCON qualifying match.
