Famous American rapper Wiz Khalifa has shared his perspective on relationships, advocating for couples to date for at least 10 years before tying the knot. According to the father of two, this extended period allows partners to truly understand each other and their families before making a lifelong commitment.
During an appearance on the *Club Shay Shay* podcast, Wiz Khalifa explained his stance, saying:
“People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together.”
When asked about cohabitation, the 37-year-old noted that it depends on individual circumstances. He elaborated:
“Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out. If you don’t move in right away, you’ll learn there’s one version of the person when you’re not sharing things and a different version when you are.”
Wiz Khalifa previously married model Amber Rose in 2013, the same year they welcomed their son, Sebastian Taylor. However, their marriage ended in 2014, with Amber citing irreconcilable differences. The divorce was finalized in 2016.
The rapper is currently in a five-year relationship with model Aimee Aguilar, with whom he recently welcomed a daughter. His insights on relationships reflect his personal experiences and evolving views on love and commitment.
